There are three different experiment options, Quick Virtual Lab, Full Virtual Lab, DIY Lab. Each lab allows you to choose which data to see.The Quick Lab limits the number of manduca caterpillars you can select. The Full Lab gives you access to all the caterpillar subjects. The DIY Lab also includes all the caterpillars that were raised in a do-it-yourself (DIY) incubator.
From each small viewing window you can either choose to watch an animation or to view the subject in a larger window. There is a scale bar in each window and the mass for each subject is listed above the image.
There is also a Teacher’s Resource Packet, containing full instructions for each experiment, student handouts, a sample lesson plan, and background information to help get you started.
